Warranty Policies

  1. The policy is to describe the Warranty to be given by the company.
  2. The objective is to standardize the Warranty procedures and to increase the customer satisfaction.
  3. Company warrants that the machines supplied are free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of six months from the date of sale to the customers.
  4. A Warranty claim results when defective material or manufacturing fault are found in the machine.
  5. A Warranty provides the free of charge repair or replacement of defective parts only.
  6. Parts requiring repair as a result of normal wear and tear are not covered by this policy.
  7. The policy covers defects in machines which are eliminated through free of charge replacement of defective parts/or repair as the case may be.
  8. Replaced parts become the property of the company.
  9. Service works requested by the customer do not come under Warranty and are charged to the customer.
  10. Warranty is valid as long as the machine is operated, handled, cleaned and serviced at regular interval according to the operating instructions.

Warranty Applicability. 

  1. Warranty coverage begins from the date of sale for the particular machine supplied to the customer and ends after the warranty period are over.
  1. Warranty can be claimed only when the defective parts are accompanied by a. the original Warranty card completely filled and stamped,
  2. b. Warranty replacement Request Form.
  1. Warranty cannot be claimed in absence of any of these or the information required on the warranty form and will be rejected.
  1. 1 Year warranty schemes for some selected models. {Like Rotary Hammers, Demolition Hammers & Special application Angle grinders}.

Warranty Information.

Every Makita product is thoroughly inspected before they leave the factory and can be guaranteed to be free of defects, in both workmanship and materials, for a period of one year beginning the date of the products original purchase.

Should the product develop any faults during its first year of use, due to defective workmanship or materials, it can be packaged (complete) and freight prepaid to either an approved Area Service Agent or to Makita  Ltd i. Subject to inspection, the product will be repaired free of charge.

Outside of warranty:

This guarantee does not apply where:

  • Repairs have been made or attempted by others.
  • Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear.
  • The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained.
  • Alterations have been made to the tool.
  • This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
